Hi, I’m Jesse (he/him/his)

I am a Taiwanese-American who takes pride in my heritage. I am a passionate mental health clinician. I advocate for resilience and I am committed to being a supportive ally.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Fort Collins, CO. I earned a double major Bachelor of Art and Science in Human Development and Family Studies & Sociology from Colorado State University in 2015. Earned my Master’s in Social Work in 2021 from Metropolitan State University of Denver, just after the height of pandemic. I completed my provisional license as a social worker in August, 2023 and am now a LCSW!

I had the privilege of growing up both in the Mile High City (Denver) and in the beautiful country of Taiwan (Taipei skyline pictured in background). My personal experiences with intersectionality, inter-generational trauma, and identity development led me towards the word “empathy.” When I first learned what empathy meant in a freshman undergraduate class, it was profound and it changed my life. I personally found my path in empathy and am now lucky enough to support others in their journey of finding theirs.

I hope to work with anyone that is willing to be vulnerable in exploring their traumas, pains, or suffering they’ve experienced. I approach therapy with a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) lens and a psycho-dynamic perspective. I aspire to eventually be Gottman certified (couples counseling) and EMDR certified (reprocessing trauma modality).

My personal experience has led to significant interest in gender identity issues, toxic masuclinity, difficulties with intersectionality, racial trauma, and inter-generational trauma. I aim to provide a safe space to navigate and process the impact of masculine gender norms, racial identity, cultural dynamics, and societal bounds.
